Just a tip on fabric if you do the mask and paint. Apply your tape, next spray a one or two light coats of clear along your tape in the area to be painted. This will help seal the edge of the tape. After all that is dry then spray light coats of your paint building up the color. I know for a fact (been down that road) that sometimes the paint will follow the fabric grain a pull a little paint under the tape in spots.
