cordless drils just don't give it the quick snap of rpm's that is needed for good reliable starts every time. I once tried to make my own by converting an old honda motorcycle starter which seemed to turn up prety good rpm's but it just didn't work as good as a comercial starter.So broke down and bougt one never been sorry.
