I hadn't thought about plugging them together before soldering, I'll try that next time.

In the relatively tight confines of the battery compartment I have almost broken a bulkhead in tugging on the Deans to remove a battery. They stick at first and then let go all of a sudden.

I wonder if the Astro Flight Zero Loss connectors are any better? I have a new AF 010, just haven't used it yet. I'll have to look more closely and try those to see if they work smoother.
