Sounds like you are on your way.. with the muffler system. I did have trouble with the header coming loose because I could not find a decent way to mount a support clamp from the engine to the header. I initally had a flex pipe between the header and the pipe. Now i have a 7" piece of Teflon tubing..that seems to work so far.

For the elevator I used two Hitec HS-225 MG servos mounted in the rear....These are light weight and have good torque based upon using two of them.

One thing I did not mention about using the conventional muffler as my friends did is that they have to remove the muffer each time the take off the belly pan, as they were not willing to cut a slot in the belly pan.
