I'm sure I'm gonna start something here. But I have a question. Why should the people that spend there hard earned money and time, worry about whether or not people have to register to the view the site.
If the site admitted all people that just wanted to lurk and leach info from people that actually care about scale modeling. The amount of servor space it would increase would just mean more money/time for us to pay for your enjoyment. It eliminates the crusiers that aren't really intersted but have the, "Hey look what I found syndorome!!!" and the people that support it, would have to shell out more money to pay for your learning/enjoyment.
The site has very few supporting vendors, even though the cost of advertising there is relatively inexpensve. That in it self should show you how focussed this part of the hobby is.
And a last note. If you don't have the time to register to the site? You sure don't have time to build a scale model!!!!
