RE: first time flyer
Get a sim and check out some local flying clubs in your area and see what they fly and who would be willing to help you set it up and learn the basics. You can easily start with a Rex 500 and have great success. Some start with the cheap little electrics and beat them to death but if you take your time you can start with a nice heli and learn how to fly without any crashes, don't get me wrong, you will crash, but you don't have to crash the first time out. If you have a flying club close to you a nitro might be a better choice. The electrics are great and make alot of power but unless you have alot of batteries it's hard to get in alot of flying in a day. With a nitro you can get in 4-5 flights and just have to recharge the rx pack.
