So here are the long awaited Results

2008 Sin City Results

Now for the Grand Champion and how it was determined......

Every sequence had the possiblity of getting 120 points
-10 manuevers (max point of 10 on each)
- Sound Score (max of 10 points)
- ACS Score (max of 10 points)

We flew 4 rds (3 knowns and 1 unknown)
-3rds x 2 sequences = 6
-1 unknown= 1
-6 sequences x2 judges= 12
-1 unknown x2 judges= 2
---total sequences=14 x 120(possible points each sequence)=1680

So up for grabs were 1680 points.

I did not throw out any sequences.
I did not count Pilot/Panel penalties
I did not count K-factors
In case of a tie the unknown round (basic flew 1 known sequence so it still worked for them) point winner would be used
In case of still a tie then the Highest throw out rds combined would be used
If still a tie.......I didn't get that far, thank Goodness

No one at the contest knew the criteria (as not to influence judging ...I also did not judge), I just told everyone to fly good in all rounds!

The Grand Champion is based on the pilots ability to get as many "Raw" points in every flight as possible. There was no need to handicap a pilot since all classes were handicaped based on abilities of the pilots.

Here are your top 10 (and the class they were in)
10 Ryan Hart (U) 1289
9 Joe Mac Gregor (I) 1294
9 Sam Gaglio (S) 1294
8 Steve Nelson (U) 1301
