Well on update
Got in about another 2 hours today and got 1 aileron, stab and both elevators made. Just to say wow the surfaces are huge. Real glad i spent the extra money on good servos. There would be no way a standard would be up to the job. Another comment i will make is just watch the uses of the square 5/16 balsa. I worked out that there is more than enough in the kit but if you use it as you go in the order i have it would be short for the spars. But like i said i went though and sorted though it and realized so you have to cut the end off the spars which gives plenty then. For 1 of the first times i lifted the 2 elevator half's off and some how they are so close in size i was impressed with my own building skills. Then i took another look and remembered that Paul Swanys kit had done the work for me, the cut outs make sure it lines up making it real easy to get it right. I then nipped out again latter tonight and got the wing spars glued together meaning i can now build the wing when ready as i made up the center rib as i was building the fuse. So im about 5.5 hours in so far and just have the wing and 1 aileron to build not bad going for someone who really has no idea what im doing. the only problem for me is i will have to spend about that time again sanding and filling but hey thats what it is for me. will try and get pics as soon as i can thanks for reading
