I dont really like building very much and never have. I normally get my dad to do it for me. He is to busy with work now so have to do it myself. The part i like in the build is covering and servo setup so it normally goes pretty quick once i get there. It also does not help that the whether is really nice here the last couple of day so i have been flying my eshock in the park instead of building, then during the charge time do some more on the mojo.
its a tough life build fly build fly i try and avoid the crash part or its only build build build and i dont think i could cope with that
Thanks 4 the laugh

Just a quick update on where im at, I have done lots of sanding and today started covering. its going real crap. Im using mono coat and it is just not going on well it just seams not to shrink back like other covering i have used and now i have lots of wrinkle and cant seem to get them out. going to try a heat gun tomorrow only using iron at the moment. Im not to worried as its not a show plane just hope it still flys ok. No photos from now on i want the colour to be a nice surprise when its finished. lets just say its bright and i cant wait to see it when its all done [8D]

Monokote doesn't shrink as much (as easly) as others. The key is to try to get wrinkles out in the begining by tacking arount the part and pulling a little tight as you go.
Take a few minutes and read the instructions that come on the roll. I know this has made a big differance for lots of people who use other covering and swich to Monokote.

Well got things sorted the heat gun did the trick. like u said buildflycrash pull it tight tack and seal with iron then hit with heat gun and presto done. the under side of the wing does not look to great but better than it was. so now the wing and fuse are covered. Also must say the monokote seems to be on the heavy side so hope it has not added to much extra weight.
I will be installing a small light ply plate on the surfaces to go under the control horns as the balsa seems to be a soft, i just want to give something to bit into.
then finish covering and onto final assembly YAY getting there

All covered and glued together just have to run some epoxy down the tube. rudder and elevators are in and servos setup. just have to put alirons on and make push rods mount the motor and wheels balance and done. If i get in another full day tomorrow i should get done YAY

Keep you eye on the fuel level. With a 10oz tank you may get around a 5 minute run.
My older 100 is much better on fuel than the new one I have that is burning close to 2oz per minute.[:'(]
Hayes makes a 13 oz tank that is really good for your setup.

Do you run velocity stacks on your 100's? The hunnert on my MoJo 60 has about 15 gallons through it and has a stack. I use an 8 ounce tank and routinely get 10+ minute flights. I will note, however, that my rookie thumbs don't spend much time at high throttle, so I'm sure that is a factor as well.
Anyway, the stack is only about $8 and may give you better fuel economy. Just a thought....Erik

WHOOOOOOhoooooo
It flys yay
. Did the maiden not to many problems. the only real issue was the dodgy tail skid that i put on. It did not last the trip to the field let alone the flight. So in the end i flew without any wheel or skid. Will fix before more flying. About the flight well what can i say WOW it fly really nice. it looks really big in the sky and seems quite docile yet open the power and man it gets up and boggys sweet. I took of on low rates, it took a little trimming but not to much then i did a few rolls was way to slow so clicked high rates and nice. i did the rest of the flight on high rates its just what im used to using now and don't think i could fly much without them. i then brought it round and slowed it up into a nice high harrier and it just locked in and sat into without any problems. i did a few circuits like that then poped it into a hover just had to lol it took close to no in puts to hold it there it just seemed to stay in place, it made me look good. the controls have heaps of authority at low speed and little movements have a big effect. it powered up and out with ease i did not even use full power the whole flight. i then did some inverted it sits close to hand off and flys the same either way up. knife edge was nice did a full circuit did not notice it wanting to tuck or pull much either way. I then did a rolling circuit look crap but that was my nevers not the plane. landing was nice and easy slows up fast so tend to approach with a bit of power on. i cant wait now to get some really stick time in and bed in with it. Dad reckons the satio is not running right yet he said its not pecking right he said after a few flight we will re tune and see how we go form them. Only did the 1 flight as we were under a bit of time restraint and not wanting to damage a rudder servo. Im am really happy with it and hope some more people have learnt something off my thread and now will go and build and fly one of these planes MoAss Mojos rule [sm=thumbup.gif]
