Gator,
I've spent many years flying at altitude in Colorado, be prepared for a different enviroment totally. Expect to lose 20-30% power from your engine, and you must also land about 20% faster than you would at sea level. Most of my experience has been at about 6,000'. If were talking about speed, your plane will fly much faster also.

Now if your a golfer it gets really fun, ball flies 30% farther, totally screws up your game.

As for the plane, a U-Can-Do would be a good choice, a 46 size version with a 91 4 stroke.
