HO Taylorcraft strut problem
It could be that there is a small amount of flex in the landing gear when you land. I am putting a T'craft together now and plan to put a narrow thin piece of alluminum right through the fusalage
, bolted on top of the L/G and drilled at each end to accomodate the wing struts. It seems to me to be a goofy idea to attatch wing struts to L/G legs. What happens if you make a really fast and hard landing and wipe out yur L/G? ( it happens. Murphy's Law ) Seems like you would do major damage to your wing. I doubt that your idea of using nyrod as I understand it would be strong enough. Even though the T"craft is a docile airplane pulling out of a loop can put a great strain on the wing struts. Not a pretty sight if one fails lol.
