RE: Mojo Moass build thread
well must say about another 2 hours or so work into and the wing has come along nicely. Have struck a few problems on the way. Im in the middle of doing the sheeting on the wing and have came up well short on the 1/16 balsa. not that its a biggy but just a pain. looking at it now there properly would have been enough there if i had looked at it before i started as i used a new sheet and went ahead and did up the shear webbing.(like the booklet said to do) If i had done it right the shear webbing should have been cut from the off cuts of the wing sheets. Another small thing i noticest is the plan and the booklet differ from each other on the width to cut the leading edge sheeting, 1/4inch different between them i got the rule out and measured it and the plan is right and booklet wrong. I have also came up short on 1/4sq hardwood for servo rails i can only think there was no extra added for a moass where the fuse is taller hence using a little bit more which in turn has left it short to get all the wing servo rails. yet again not a biggy just a pain as now i have to get more of that aswell. well so far its all going well and with about 8.5 hours work so far i only have sheeting on the wing and 1 aileron to make, final assembly and covering might bring me up to about 13-14 hours work which to me does not seem to bad. anyway got a couple of pics of the wing here, you can see the extra tabs built onto the ribs to make it real easy to get the taper and shape right
