Yeah, that is an advantage to the IV, flat and open.
I new guys in Calexico that just went out in the country and flew off of the road.
No one around and lots of space and the flying field is almost to Westmorland.
CV does have a nice field, I went to their open house years ago.
They even had a write up in one of the magazines I get, probably AMA.
To me, a lot of the fun flying is the comaraderie at the field.
Also, knowing someone to call for repair/construction ideas.
