Looks like you were definitely having a good time! Those Parkzone T-28s sure look aerobatic.

You seem to have gotten over your shyness in flying this one. How did you find the transition from the Super Cub to this? You really were tearing up the sky! Have you gotten to the point where you quit scaring yourself with it on occasion? Try not to let overconfidence ruin your day, keep some altitude in it, it looks like you are really having a good time with it.

You know, that's a pretty good looking model. And comes just about ready to fly (plug in your own RX and charge it.. fly) And it looks great in the sky. At a pretty good price too.. including motor, ESC, and a 1800 mah 3 cell Lipo.. for $219 that's good considering the motor/esc/battery combination can easily be half of the cost of one of this quality.

Good choice and it looks like a fun flyer. I may caution that this may NOT be suitable for a beginner.. so buyer beware!!

Looked like you had fun. A little scary on the landing.

Sportrider,
Are you flying out there in the surrounding desert or with a club?
The group of guys in the Imperial Valley are a great bunch and some real good fliers.
Check 'em out some day.

I'm still way braver with the Super Cub, after flying the T-28 flying the Cub is so much easier, I wanted to fly the cub that day also, but I was in a hurry trying to get a few flights in before dark and forgot the batterys to the Cub on my work bench at home.
I still fly the whole "3 mistakes high" most of the time. I find that if I don't try to many manuvers at one time I can stay ahead of the plane so I don't let myself get into the panic zone.

ya, I'm still working on the landings with the T-28. I need to fly a few batterys just doing touch and goes to get smoother and get into the practice of useing the rudder for small course corrections.

I'm a few miles from my house, there are a lot of empty streets with no houses, trees, or powerlines. I like to fly there, there is an intersection right behind where I was standing so I can take off into the wind no matter which way its comming from. I haven't checked out any clubs in Imperial Valley. I did stop by the CVRCC airstrip last weekend in Thermal and talked to a few guys for a while
about joining their club. they have a really nice runway and a Heli pad off to the side. when I get a few extra bucks I plan on joining the AMA and the club. unfortunatly everyone was packing up for the day when I went there so I didn't get to see anyone fly.

Yeah, that is an advantage to the IV, flat and open.
I new guys in Calexico that just went out in the country and flew off of the road.
No one around and lots of space and the flying field is almost to Westmorland.
CV does have a nice field, I went to their open house years ago.
They even had a write up in one of the magazines I get, probably AMA.
To me, a lot of the fun flying is the comaraderie at the field.
Also, knowing someone to call for repair/construction ideas.
Have Fun,
