No, it is not fragile. It is very strong for a 3d model.
As with all ARTFs it is VERY important to go over all the film overlap joints with a warm iron and then press the joints with a soft cloth until the glue goes cold. This must be done before the model is flown. Once oil gets under the film the model is on the way out.
