I thought I'd posted a reply to this, maybe it had timed out or was censored if it was deemed as being critical of a product but anyway I'll try again !!!
Aerobird Swift is by far the worst plane I've had, it has a horrible stall and will just fall out of the air if you try and come in for a slow landing which any beginner will be trying to do. It's easily damaged and hard to repair in comparison to other better flying products and as one other person said you will need a reasonable amout of space to fly it in. The set up as well there are a number of threads about trying to get it to go up rather than down from take off and I suffered that as well.
Personally I'd look at a Multiplex MiniMag which I bought after the Swift and wish I'd just gone straight to it in the 1st place !
For a foamy the MiniMag is very durable and easy to repair with a bit of normal CA, as you get more advanced you can move the CoG further back and up the throws bit by bit to then get you ready for an even more advanced model.
I'll keep a copy this time in case I have to post it again !!!!
I saw your original post, and I agreed with it. To expand on what I said in my earlier post, my experience with the Aerobird Swift was similar to yours. I admit that I was not ready for it, so I don't blame the plane, but I would discourage any beginners from starting out with the Swift. The guy at my LHS even told me it was not a beginner plane, but I didn't listen

.
When I finally gave up on mine, I was on my third set of wings and my second fuselage, and I had repaired each of those many times. I had a few good flights, but a lot more javelin throws into the ground. I'm sure I could fly it now, but it would be too much work putting it back together, and all of its parts are in other planes that are more fun.
