It's OK - I was only joking too.
Mine was a royal PITA to start - that's why I ended up changing the carb.
I'm not sure the carby on mine was the original - it was a well used engine when I bought it. Before I changed the carb, I used a modified motorbike starter motor as a starter just to get it running.

I have no idea about Jarrahs engine whether it is new or not - maybe he will chime in and let us know. I also find it hard to believe that DA would ship an engine without a choke.

Of course we aussies also never mention that we invented bolt cutters (I guess to cut the chains off our legs at the first available opportunity) and a senior engineer on the "Edsel Project" was also an aussie (Yes - the well known project by Ford).
