Default RE: Am i taking risks???

ORIGINAL: extra 300

1) I know that i should have installed a Tamjet gear failsafe unit (which ironically, i already have), but i will create a big mess if i do so now.

2) is there anything i can do to improve my system and reduce air leak, bearing in mind that most of the equipment/connections are buried under trays/turbine etc...

3) is it safe to fly with system as is, bearing in mind that when gear is down system's leak is not critical at all, or will this leak increase with time?

Appreciate any input/good advice that would make my life easier.

Thanks. Regards.

1. How will this create a mess, it takes 5 minutes to install and just needs to be T'd into the system.

2. Use safety wire on all the connections and use soapy water to check for leaks.

3. I would fly if it was the other way around, leaking in the down and sealed in the up, but not the way you are saying, at least not without a failsafe.

Thats just my .02
