I guess I better get something on mine then. I took the spring off completely and it does have that sideways slop. Other then that it runs just fine.
Now I guess that means taking the whole steeeinking thing apart.
Wayne-o --- get a compression spring, and just "thread" it onto the shaft. NO disassembly required. Think of it like threading a keyring over something...
