Default RE: light weight .75 engine

I'll tell ya why Larry is asking for a different carb:

Most likely because Tower has been out of stock for at least 6 months that I know of. Maybe longer. I started looking for a new carb back in September 2007 and they've been out of stock the entire time.

The SK90 carb will work. I haven't tried it, but I know Ed Moorman did. According to him, the carb drops right in and works great. You just have to take about 1/16" of length off the base of the carb or it sticks out too far and won't seal up. Stick it on a disk or belt sander and grind off 1/16" The SK90 carbs are only $29.

I'll be ordering one here in a week or two when I scrape up the money. The throttle arm broke off one of my Tower .75 carbs last summer. I can't figure out a way to get it back on the barrel and not vibrate off. Weld it? [sm=71_71.gif] I haven't got a welder.
