You need COS, which is adjacent over hypotenuse.

So, your equation is COS(54) = 13/x

Give or take some rounding and you have 7.6

You may have been using SIN or TAN, or your calculator is set to something other than degree mode. If its set to calculate in radians then you're gonna get the wrong answer.
