I dunno about this crash stuff..

I've only dumped two aircraft since I've been flying RC. Yeah, longer than a year..

. I destroyed my Skylark 56 by flying it in conditions that I was not prepared to fly it in... the wind was way beyond my capabilities yet I flew anyway. Results.. crashed Skylark 56. Destroyed Skylark 56.
The next one was several years later when I was flying my Venus 40 intro-to-pattern plane. It was my third or forth flight of the day and on taking off, a gust of wind yaw'ed it to the right so on take off, I was about three feet off the ground and at full throttle and had just pulled a little elevator to gain altitude. When it yaw'ed, I thought LEFT RUDDER and did LEFT AILERON.. and since I was at full throttle and had pulled a little elevator, and was only a few feet up.. well, that plane too made it to the trash can. Those are the only two crashed I've had that destroyed the plane.
I've had a few other minor problems that were either fixed at the field or waited till I got home and fixed, simple things like a broken nose wheel mount, or a tail wheel that got hit by a bird.. [X(]
But to answer your original question.. I choose what catches my fancy at the moment. Usually sport planes, though.
