Default propellor fitting to electric motor question

Hello all, I am just putting in the servos (got a nice 4 channel futaba), and picked up a prop the other day. I noticed that it does not fit on the hub(? not sure of the appropriate term). I would like to add a little bit to the length of the output shaft (maybe thats the name?). Is this possible? Can I kill two birds with one stone or do I have to find another prop that does fit the shaft? Oh yeah, the hole in the propellor is too large for the shaft.

fyi: I actually have completed the dauntless (without covering) and it is right at 16 oz with all equipment and battery on board. This is a guillows 31" wingspan, with a geared 400.
