RE: 2.4 and powerbox. Any problems?
Here is some info that i recieved from Emmerich (Mr. PB) himself:
-----
First:
the PB Sensor have always the same electronic switches and the same regulators inside, the new one and the older one, absolutely the same, only the volt controllers with a three colour LED and the blue heater is new, all the other is absolutely the same. I think if he has a problem he must send it back to me, if it works fine with NC but with LiPo not, then we must look, when we have this problem on a PB, the regulators are died because the customer have made a wrong polarisation.
And the PB Sensor is perfect for all 2,4 GHz receiver, it gives a perfect linear regulated voltage of 5,9 volts to the receivers, the problem with the 6014 is a signal amplifier problem not a voltage problem.
Second:
This problem of the very low signal voltage is only by Futaba and not by all the many other manufacturers, we have found 2 Futaba servos what does also not work on this Futaba receiver, and when we look further, I am sure we find more electronic parts from Futaba what have problems on their own receiver. Futaba have forgotten an additional IC what make sure for the right signal levels, this is fact, I have heard that the electronic constructor by Futaba what have make this mistake have lost his job, the best and safety way for Futaba is to call back all this receivers in the factory, nothing else is correct. The same way as in the car industry, if they have a security problem, the cars must back to the dealers garage! But Futaba see us modellers as toys players! And this is also not correct! And may be it is dangerous.
Perhaps we must write this urgently in the forums, that Futaba wake up!
And you know we modellers have in the past also a great problem with the G3 receiver ( 5014 ) from Futaba, many many planes are crashed because this receiver, and now after 2 years they have the G3 with the part number 5114 and this is function ! You will see in some month we have the next version of the 6014 with the order number 6114 !
You will see if you have only one or two electronic parts what does not function, the signal amplifier is a fast and great solution.
