It's a good idea to explain WHY you shouldn't use it.

The plastic that a lot of manufacturers use is not compatable with a lot of things. Thread lock and WD-40 are two of the things I'm aware of.

A few years ago I had a can of WD-40 leak all over a transmitter. A few months later the transmitter case literally fell apart like a broken egg shell.
