I'm new to the sport too, but I have heard that the aluminum parts still break and when they do it's more expensive to fix. Either way it's a good truck. If you want to risk the upgrade then go for it if you break something you could always goto plastic parts and they are lighter as well and cheaper. Thats just what I've read in all these forums.
