If its not getting fuel to start then it could be just a little lean on the regulator.


The other option is you fuel filter could be semi plugged up.

Yet another option could be a fouled glow plug too.

You can try putting a little pressure in the tank with your fuel pump to semi pre-pressurize the tank this will make starting easier as it will help force fuel to the engine...


Just some ideas to help you out. I would suspect a blockage in the fuel system though. Change or clean out your fuel filter.....if its YS filter. There is a little felt type media in it. This will get gummed up and restrict flow as well. I always remove the felt media nd leave the dual screens in the YS filters. This way I can take it apart and look at the screens...but the felt gets clogged up and you can't see the blockage. It really just adds restriction. to the line. In the smaller engines this is not an issue but in the larger ones it can be. Especially if the filter is old and is not allowing flow like when it was newer.
