Easter egg dye may work, it all depends on the plastic. You can test with the parts that you trim off the canopy pac.

I've always used RITZ dye with varied success. Sometimes it works great and other times I don't know why I bothered.

I've finally gone over to spray paints with great success.

I've always thought of canopies as an easy job, like putting on the landing gear, but they can be a challenge.
