OK Thanks guys! ok here is another one. Why would a .32 os be underpowered compared to the .21 turbo... if someone wanted to get more out of their boat but not have to change much, would a downgrade to the .21 turbo os be worth it? Just throwin it out there.
If you look at most of the marine .32s you will see that they appear to be based on sport airplane engines. These engines are designed to be easy to run and reliable, not win races. Contrast this to the .21s and you'll see that they are designed more for racing. Also, there's no money in developing powerful .32 engines, the size doesn't work well in any recognized class. OTOH, there are lots of powerful .21 engines because it's a popular class.
