Default RE: Looking for long nose strut

ORIGINAL: highhorse

your post is just a tiny bit unclear...if taken literally, you already have the retract and just need a strut? Is it a 1/2 " trunion?

That's an fairly long strut, even for the jet community. contact this outfit [link]http://www.sierragiant.com/[/link] and see what he can do for you. He does top-notch work. I hope I'm wrong but that seems like a custom request to me and might be expensive, but there's no telling until you ask, right?

Hope I helped, Don.
Ok here it goes again, BTW thanks to all who replied to request so swiftly.

I currently don't have the retracts as of yet but for nose i'm looking to get Trimjet nose retract from a friend who doesn't need nose retract for his project.

Main strut tube will be 1/2" thick that will also mount into the retract on the top end, since mount will take 1/2" of the strut to be clamped on to rest will be the length i will need. This will be 9.5" from axle to the retract, telescopic suspension part will be 2" without load and 1" with load. Scissors/forks will be to the front of the aircraft. As for axle once mounted on to the strut both outer sides will be bent on 12 degree down position as in canted position.

I don't want to manufacturers for custom strut as it will be very expansive, like i said earlier, i prefer to get either used one or two or from not too expansive source.

Sean let me know if you get the picture, if not i will try to explain it again.
