I'm Back
well i'm here to kick a** and chew bubble gum, and i'm all out of bubble gum!!! After taking a leave of absence since mid august after an accident with my p-47 maiden at an event i have taken a step back from the hobby and I have missed it.
My problem I believe came from overwhelming myself with penny pinching techniques. first because i'm still in my teens and I have been given a few planes. most of which needed some major surgery. I must say this was a mistake. my work room soon became crowded. After taking them out to another property where they are resting until i can catch up, and give more attention to preventing future mistakes by checking each bolt, joint and repair on sunday morning rather than at the field.
I have also decided to save some money and redirect it to better equipment rather than used. I still like my used engines, because of the challenge to get it running but as for equipment, you can't beat a receipt
I believe that this is why I lost my confidence and stopped. Now I am saving up for a futaba 2.4 7c.
I have yet to still fly, but after taking a few steps back, and waiting a bit I'm pumped to get back in the air
thanks, dave
