Bolt the engine to the mounts, then loosen the firewall mounting screws and rotate the mount as far as it will go in the slots , tighten firewall bolts. . I think you`ll find your clearance will improve enough to clear your fuse.
This would be the best first move to make. I am certain that you will gain enough clearance with this method. If not, go with the method below:

yaeh just glue tri stock on the inside..this way when you drimel that former there won't be a hole.
And if your overly consern that making a hole might weaken it...that's your reinforment.
