Default RE: How durable are chrome wheels?

Chrome wheels peel off easily and look awful- if you are only bashing they will probably last longer, but if you race theres a lot of banging and crashing. I´ve had some Kyosho and HPI chromed rims... the inside was white in both cases.

Anyway all of them - no matter what color - are made of plastic so they scratch, get smudged, dirty, etc., very easily. I Do have a friend who went to a local metal works shop where they make aluminum parts and had custome made aluminum rims... they where $60 a pop but are awesome, lightweight and very resistant...but I think thats a litlle bit over the top.

In conclusion all chromed rims pretty much will peel off so just take it as "part of the game".
