you need to do 2 2 1 formation for a 5 cell AA pack.. it will then fit in the original battery tray/cover the wider type. with the 1 cell at the bottom. you can then either use very small zip ties to hold the battery cover on or as i have done use a small piece of plastic and extend the arms a little and run the cover backwards so that it entirely covers the whole of the battery on the outside) sorry i still not bothered my butt to get photos done and im at work right now.

As a precationery i then wrap the battery cover and battery with an old inner tube just to give it a little protection from impacts and also hold the battery very snug and tight.

I get weeks of use out of the 2400mah AA's as a matter of fact ive only chargeed them once since my original purchase . They outlast my TX by 3:1 as that has the dreaded 800mah pack.... gonna have to sort that one out when i get time.

The beauty of the 2400's is they like fast charge too....
