The Tower 6 channel tx is a re-badged Futaba 6EXA, but with a few less menu features, like model naming.

If you want to save a few bucks on servos, type in DS821 into *bay. The Spektrum radios come with four JR DS821's and a lot of people who buy them replace the servos with giant scale 3D servos, for example. They sell the four brand new DS821's with the mounting hardware. I just bought four a few weeks a go for $59.99. They are $29.99 each from Horizon.
