Nobody has mentioned epoxy, and for good reason.

If anyone considered any solution that uses epoxy, don't do it. Epoxy will break down if exposed continuously.

A very short bolt that fits the tubing works great. The size that would securely fit the inside diameter of the silicon tubing would be very light. And the threads insure a decent seal.

If I remember correctly, 4-40 works.
