I had this problem with my DA twice and each time it was the plug cap from the module,

I would ground the plug to the engine turned the hub and got spark??? and I new it had gas??? but when the plug was back in the engine had no start no sputter no nothing,

One orther thing you may try, switch to a 6V battery and make sure the battery and module connections are good,
