I would get some time on someone's trainer and maybe some sim time before flying your plane. If you haven't flown a plane, take-off and landing is totally different from a heli. You already have a knowledge if how to fly, but (as I understand) fixed wing. I would hate for you to crash a big expensive plane for lack of fixed wing experience.
