hello everyone. I'm new to planes but flew helis for a while. I purchased my first airplane recently. A H9 P-47 150, she was almost ready to go but I got a dud g-26ei and now I've got a couple weeks of repair time to wait. My friends at my club have suggested I get so e time on something els before I attempt to fly this warbird. I myself feel confident (as do a couple other guys that know my heli skills) but since I have to wait for my motor any way I was thinking of buying another g26 ei since my plane is all ready for it. Maybe have a friend take it up for me so I can break myself in a little. When I get my first back I can build something g els with it. So thats my question. I'm looking for a nice scale 150 sized plane or equivelant that works well with t he g26. Any reconnendations? I like the H9 p57 but want something a bit easier to fly. Something that really floats!

I would get some time on someone's trainer and maybe some sim time before flying your plane. If you haven't flown a plane, take-off and landing is totally different from a heli. You already have a knowledge if how to fly, but (as I understand) fixed wing. I would hate for you to crash a big expensive plane for lack of fixed wing experience.

actually I have plenty of sim time. Just looking for a good home if I buy another g-26
(really just an excuse to not have to wait out the 2 weeks with no motor in the jug!) 0)
What do you think??

I would recommend getting the p-51 PTS from hangar 9. I hear its a really great plane to start out with but it doubles as a scale plane to. its about 400$ and you can look at allthe specs [link=http://www.hangar-9.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=HAN2825]here[/link]. I have no experienc with your engine but this plane comes complete with one.

Look at the hanger 9 pulse xt or Sig 4*. They are very popular "second" planes or most peoples first low wing plane. I wish I would of skiped the pure trainer and went straight to this but I put in about 4 months over the winter on the sim so that helped alot.

The H9 1/4 scale Cub is the right size for a G26

Not a scale plane, but the H9 Ultra Stick Lite is another good match for the engine.
