What you describe with the wind currents was exactly what I was experiencing in that retention area. My next outdoor flights will be in an open field near a school.

I still want something bigger so I'm going with the Hurricane 550.

Brands aside, if you had to choose either:

A) Plastic frame/metal head (will upgrade to CF frame when stock one gets trashed)

OR

B) CF frame/plastic head (will upgrade head parts to metal as needed)

The kits I'm looking at are NOT available with BOTH CF Frame & metal head.


I'm just starting to do FF (I think this means forward flight), nose-in hover and some ugly figure 8's.


Just wanted to get opinions.
