You typically wont hear 1st-2nd shift since 1st is only used to get the truck moving, then you will hear 2nd-3rd shift after you have ru up the speed abit, maybe out 100-150 or so maybe less just depends on how it is set!

Alittle brownish color on the clutchbell is normal for a truck that has been thru acouple gallons, but if your truck is brand new then you most likely have a binding issue going on. If your brakes seem to be sticking, that would definitely cause a binding issue. I would check your drive train thouroughly just to be sure

oh yeah, dont expect the engine to wind out like smaller nitro engines, it just dosn't.
