Tail heavy is just an invitation to put a bigger motor on the plane!
I have a Tiger 2 and it's a wonderful flying aircraft that would also be a terrific second aircraft. I think the smaller Tiger is less prone to coming out tail heavy compared to its .60 and 1.20-sized counterparts.
I have a blog entry here on RC Universe about taking my Tiger 2 out and just flying touch-and-goes for three full tanks of fuel just for the fun of it. I'm flying pattern ships and 3D stuff more and more, but I'm preparing to get my Tiger 2 restored to pristine flying status with fresh covering, a new canopy, and some minor repairs. It's such a pleasant plane to fly that I hope to have it for many years to come.
That having been said, I still think your original choice of a Seagull Spacewalker II is a good choice. Just be sure to let MinnFlyer know how you set yours up so he can go back and fix his!
