I too was a little hesitant to join a club, but I figured it would be the best thing for me to do. I still haven't joined the club yet (Slow AMA Card mailing ) but have stopped by the flying field on numerous occasions and Everyone I've met has always been quick to offer advice, show me planes or just chat about flying. It's been a great experience and I'm not even official yet
