One nice alternative that is priced right is the Phoenix Dolphin .46 ARF available from Tower Hobbies:

It's a fairly shameless copy of Sig's Four Star 40 ARF, but significantly less expensive.
The previously mentioned Sky Raider Mach II from
http://www.airborne-models.com is one of several very good low wing sport planes by The World Models that would make a great second aircraft. Check out the Super Sports 40, Super Sports 40S, Super Stunts 40, and LA Racer 40 are all excellent choices for an inexpensive second plane.
Hobby People still has a few of the Sportsman Aviation Sport Stik .40 ARFs available at $89.99. This would be a terrific second airplane and a lot of fun to fly. RCU has a great review with video of the Sport Stick .40 ARF available here:

You won't have any trouble finding a great second airplane, just trouble making up your mind.
Good luck and good shopping!
