Try doing it a little differently and see if it works:

While at idle, hold the manual key. SLOWLY accelerate the turbine to full (take at least 10 seconds to make the transition) Leave the turbine running at full power for about 20-30 seconds. Release the key and return to idle to reset the PID loops.
