looks good. is it balsa or ply construction?

the best finish will be to use an epoxy resin & scree it on with an old credit card or similar (scree off any excess), let it soak in & dry, lightly sand it & give it another coat, then prime & paint. another way people do it is to use a rag or paper towel & rub the resin on, then wipe it off. I personally like the scree method. you don't want to cover the whole hull in glass, you'll add too much weight. you can run some glass tape down the seems on the inside of the hull to strengthen the keel& chines if you want to.
