This is my first built mono almost done with it but I jad a few questions first is what are the best ways to finish off the hull, do I go with epoxy resin and 2 oz cloth, or go with fiberglass resine and the same way, or should I just prim the heck out of it and paint it and skip the first step and suggestion would be very help ful thankx.

looks good. is it balsa or ply construction?
the best finish will be to use an epoxy resin & scree it on with an old credit card or similar (scree off any excess), let it soak in & dry, lightly sand it & give it another coat, then prime & paint. another way people do it is to use a rag or paper towel & rub the resin on, then wipe it off. I personally like the scree method. you don't want to cover the whole hull in glass, you'll add too much weight. you can run some glass tape down the seems on the inside of the hull to strengthen the keel& chines if you want to.
hope this helps.

sand the outside smooth, then fill the gaps with a filler & sand smooth, then 2 thin coats of epoxy (lightly sanding in between), prime then paint.

I personally use an epoxy filler, but I know people do use car body fillers, I have never used that though, so I can't help you there.

A lot of the Gas guys build their boats from wood. if you have a look at the gas thread you'll find heaps of build threads for wooden boats with a lot of handy info.
here's my build thread
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_64...Crocket/tm.htm
and the thread with the video links of my gas boat running,
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_71...tm.htm#7175886
not electric, but it might help you out. good luck with it.
