RE: DL-50 engine
Hey Adamaini The Four planes in my post above. Starting with the red white nad black Pac Aero Gee Bee Y, Power 3W55I, next AeroWorks 50cc Yak, Power 3W55I, next Wild Hare 50cc Edge 540, Power DA 50, and last a Hanger 9 Sukhoi SU 31, that I completely stripped, recovered and painted in the Russian Red white & Blue color scheme. This one has the DA 100. I also have the Red yellow & Blue Hangar 9 ARF with the 3W 100 in it, the Suhkoi with the 3W100 is heavier and more of a hand full, but for all out power the 3W beats the DA 100 Hands Down. The Suhkoi with the Da 100 is lighter, runs more reliable and much more comfortable to fly due to the lighter wing loading. But for hard core 3D I prefer the Suhkoi with the 3W
So to sum this up what you have to ask your self is, What you want the plane to do for you 3W engines are more powerfull, but a little more tempermentle to set in different weather cond. and altitude, sea level verses 6,000 AGL The DA's develope a little less BHP but are more reliable and easier to set for cond.
All these engines work well and have thier place in the RC world. I hope this helps in your guest For a Big gasser. Other things to consider, size of pocket book, Wing loading, Type of Flying you are doing IE Presition Aerobatics, 3D, Sport flying.
