RE: new 46AX
miller, I've just finished repairing one of these engines. Had it for 6 months and the bearings didn't hold up and the shards caused a lot of damage to the piston and liner. I still think its a terrific engine, in fact I ordered another 46AX to replace it but I've heard that some of the first engines that O.S sold in this series specially the ones with Japanese NTN bearings tend to fail in short time. I don't intend to freak you out with your new engine, I'm just suggesting that every 3 months or so you check the bearings to be able to perform a preemptive replacement before it costs you at least $65 on new piston and liner.
