with your last statement you have just graduated from newb to ensign! You do get what you pay for and that is in everything in this hobby. Having that realization is going to be cemented in when you run that engine! I have the 61FX and I bought it cause it is a much higher quality engine and better made. I have been a Webra Speed fan for years and those ABC motors are great. Pay allot more for them but they run hard, fast and I have never worn one out yet. I bought the FX series because it has the same quality and craftsmanship that should perform and last like the Webra's had.

Just wanted to say that I ran my first tank of fuel through it today and this is a sweet little engine. I primed it open the high needle 2 1/2 turns and 3 flicks later she was purring. I ran it like the book says . I let it die once because my throttle isn't set yet, but with one flick of the prop it was back and running. I cant wait to get this thing in the air..

miller, I've just finished repairing one of these engines. Had it for 6 months and the bearings didn't hold up and the shards caused a lot of damage to the piston and liner. I still think its a terrific engine, in fact I ordered another 46AX to replace it but I've heard that some of the first engines that O.S sold in this series specially the ones with Japanese NTN bearings tend to fail in short time. I don't intend to freak you out with your new engine, I'm just suggesting that every 3 months or so you check the bearings to be able to perform a preemptive replacement before it costs you at least $65 on new piston and liner.
